Seminar Details

May 28 & 29, 2005
Grandmaster Zhu Tian Cai Workshop, Washington D.C.

Details:
Grandmaster Zhu Tiancai is an official 19th generation successor of Chen Style Taijiquan, and renowned as one of the “FOUR GREAT JINGANG’S (GEMS).” He is known for his hands-on and down-to-earth approach in teaching, which cuts through the complexity that surrounds taiji. He is a must-see for any taiji enthusiast.

Topic:
Fajin (Explosive power) Training in Chen Style Taijiquan

A must for anyone (open to all styles) who wants to know more of what Taijiquan (Tai Chi Chuan) has to offer besides the practice of forms. Beginners and advanced students will benefit as the workshop motivates and inspires you in the correct approach of practice.

Master Zhu will explain in his familiar direct show-and-tell approach the training of Fajin. He will teach the seldom-presented 42-movement Fajin set. This is the 36-movement set that Chen Zhao-kui (Chen Fa-ke’s son) taught him, with 6 movements added. Although the topic may sound advanced, beginners will also benefit, as understanding the discipline required of Fajin training will give you clear insight of how and what to practice in your regular form routines. So the workshop is invaluable to deepen your knowledge of Taijiquan.
