New leadership
of IWUF elected at 7th Congress - PAWF President Anthony Goh
elected VP of IWUF
The 7th IWUF Congress
was held in Macao in conjunction with the 7th World Wushu Championships on
November 3, 2003. Representatives of IWUF members were present and approved
the revised Constitution and Technical Rules for International Wushu Competitions.
The Congress also elected the new leadership of the Federation for the next
four years. Mr. Yu Zaiqing, Vice Minister of Sport of China and an IOC Executive
Board Member was elected to be the new President of IWUF. PAWF President Anthony
Goh was elected as one of the Vice Presidents and Mr. Wang Xiaolin, President
of Chinese Wushu Association was elected as the Secretary General.
From PAWF, Canada's Sunny Tang was elected to be a member of the 15-member Executive Committee, Lu Xiaolin was re-elected as a member of the 11-member Technical Committee. Diego Rivera of Puerto Rico was elected to be a member of the Traditional Committee. Dr. Santos (Sandy) Martinez of USAWKF was elected as a member of the Medical Committee.
