USAWKF Operational Committees

To enhance its operations, USAWKF is in the process of establishing various committees in 2003. We are planning to implement some exciting programs for this year and we hope that you will actively participate. We feel that our members and the Wushu community will benefit from the establishment of these committees. We are looking forward to a very productive year.

  1. Internal Committee: this committee will oversee the operations of Internal styles within the federation, which include establishing rules, competition management, judges and officials coordination, and events and activities that are generally related to these styles.

  2. Traditional Committee: this committee will oversee the operations of Traditional styles within the federation, which include establishing rules, competition management, judges and officials coordination, and events and activities that are generally related to these styles.

  3. Contemporary Wushu Committee: this committee will oversee the operations of Contemporary Wushu within the federation, which include establishing rules, competition management, judges and officials coordination, and events and activities that are generally related to these styles.

  4. Sanshou Committee: this committee will oversee the operations of Sanshou within the federation, which include establishing rules, competition management, judges and officials coordination, and events and activities that are generally related to these styles.

  5. Competition Management Committee: this committee will assist all USAWKF sanctioned competitions in establishing operation guidelines, competition procedures, competition programs, volunteer training programs, and onsite event management. Some members may be required to travel.

  6. Athlete Representatives: athlete representatives will be selected by the current USAWKF athletes and members to represent the interests and concerns of the athletes. They will be the voice for the athletes and coordinate with the appropriate divisions of the Federation regarding competition, policy making and benefits of the athletes.

All of the above are volunteer positions, and traveling may be required. Any USAWKF members who are interested in serving on one of the committees or as an athlete representative, please submit your name, a brief bio and contact information to the following coordinators by February 20th, 2003:
