USAWKF considering moving U.S. Taolu Team Trials to July 26-27
This is a notice to inform our members, officials and athletes that the USAWKF Board is considering moving the U.S. Taolu Team Trials from the University of Baltimore that is scheduled on June 7-8, to the 2003 International Wushu-Kungfu Festival & Championships scheduled for July 26-27 at Northern Virginia Community College. The main reasons for these considerations are:
- Some of the college students have raised concerns about the June 7-8 dates were too soon after their final exams. The problem became more serious due to some colleges having pushed back their exam dates due to the snowstorm in February.
- Also concerns were raised about High School graduations are taking place at this time.
- Some of our officials and members are supportive of having the U.S. Team Trials at an well-attended event.
We would like to hear from coaches and athletes who are planning to attend the U.S. Team Trials before we confirm this date. Please respond to us preferably via e-mail at USAWKF@USAWKF.org or fax at 410-426-5524 by March 31, 2003. When sending response please include your full name, address, day and evening telephone number and e-mail address.
We are making an effort to accommodate the majority of the athletes and officials who plan to participate in the above event. Please share this information with someone who may benefit from this notice. We thank you for your understanding and cooperation.
