2003-2005 US National Wushu Team (Taolu) Selected

A total of 79 top Taolu competitors from across the U.S. participated in the Team Trials competed for the 8 spots to represent the US at the upcoming 7th World Wushu Championships. The event was held at the Northern Virginia Community College in Virginia on July 26 - 27 in conjunction with the 2003 International Wushu Kungfu Festival and Championships. After 2 days of intense competition, the USAWKF has the list of the competitors who made it to the top.

Competitors were allowed to participate in two or three events with the barehand form as a mandatory event and a long and/or short weapon as the other event(s). From these events, the highest score from the barehand and the highest score from the weapon (long or short) were added together to determine the placement of the competitor.

The judges were from different parts of the country and Canada:

The A Team will represent the US to compete at the 7th WWC in Macau, November 2-8, 2003. The A & B Team will compete at the 5th Pan America Wushu Championships (PAWC), which will be held in the US next summer. The B Team are alternates for the A Team and the C Team are alternates for the athletes participating in the PAWC. For alternates, the placement of the competitor is ranked in descending order.
