USAWKF Awards its First Ranking Certificates to Master Instructors
The USAWKF Board of Directors had decided in the 2002 Annual Meeting that
a ranking system would be implemented in the US to enhance the organization
of the sport. This program would award instructors, teachers, Sifus and Wushu
Kungfu practitioners the ranks of first to tenth Duan (degree), with 10th
Duan being the highest. In the recent 2003 Annual Meeting, the Board of Directors
established the National Ranking Committee and approved the first group of
recipients of the Ranking Certificates.
The USAWKF National Ranking Committee members are as follows:

Tat Mau Wong
Malee Khow
Randy Li
During the 2003 International Wushu Kungfu Festival and Championships, held on July 26-27, 2003, the following individuals were the first recipients to receive their Ranking Certificates:
Professor Wang Jurong – 10th Duan
Li Jun Feng – 9th Duan
Chen Dao Yun – 8th Duan
Lu Xiaolin – 8th Duan
Tat Mau Wong – 8th Duan
Malee Khow – 8th Duan
Randy Li – 8th Duan
Hongchao Zhang – 8th Duan
Gao Mae Jian – 8th Duan
The USAWKF will continue to rank more instructors and teachers and will also accept applications. We hope this program will provide the recognition that many outstanding teachers and practitioners fully deserve. We also believe that program such as this will help younger instructors to better establish themselves as recognized teachers and practitioners.
