5th Pan American Wushu Championships To Be Held in Northern Virginia, USA on July 10-11, 2004.
The 5th Pan American Wushu Championships will be hosted by the USAWKF and will be held at Northern Virginia Community College, Annandale Campus on July 10-11, 2004.
Each Pan American Wushu Federation(PAWF) member is allowed to send one team to participate. Each PAWF team can have up to 8 male and 8 female taolu athletes along with 11 male and 7 female fighters for sanshou (One athlete per weight class).
This is the fist time the Pan American Wushu Championships will be held in the United States of America. The 1st PAWC was held in Buenos Aires, Argentina (1996), the 2nd was held in Toronto, Canada (1998), the 3rd was held in Manaus, Brazil (2000) and the 4th was held in Merida, Venezuela (2002). The 6th PAWC will be hosted in Canada.
