2004 U.S. Traditional Wushu Team To China
USAWKF is proud to announce that it will be taking the largest team ever to overseas - the 2004 US Traditional Wushu Team - to attend the 1st World Traditional Wushu Festival to be held in Zhengzhou, China from October 16-21.
The Delegation consist of 83 people, including 16 officials (5 of them are also listed as athletes), 56 athletes and 16 observers. Special recognition go to Dee and Jennifer Sigwart who have been working very hard everyday in organizing the delegation and its travel plans.
Zhengzhou City is very serious about this international event and they have invested heavily to ensure a successful and organized event. The city is very proud of being the birth place of, both, Shaolin and Taiji. There will be shows and celebrations to entertain teams coming from all over the world. The organizing committee is also planning to have over 40,000 wushu students perform along the roadway when all the international teams visit the Shaolin Temple from Zhengzhou on the 19th. This will be a magnificent display.
