USAWKF Invites You to Join the 2006 Official US Delegation to China and The 2nd World Traditional Wushu Championships October 11-21, 2006
Join USAWKF leaders and renowned U.S. Masters in an official visit to China!
Join the Masters' Delegation with renowned Masters from the U.S. including (currently scheduled to participate):
Anthony Goh, Lu Xiaolin, Randy Li, Malee Khow, Tat Mau Wong, Hongchao Zhang, CP Ong, Cheng Jincai, Calvin Chin, Sam Chin, Siu Fong Evans, Shudong Li, and more to be announced!
Compete in or observe the 2nd World Traditional Wushu Championship organized by the International Wushu Federation (IWuF).
- Compete or observe hundreds of teams from over 100 countries and regions
- In addition to participating in the 2nd WTWC, the USAWKF will visit historical and cultural sites. Visit Tian An Men Square, The Forbidden City and Shaolin Temple and the other historical sites of Beijing!!!
- A national tour guide will accompany the delegates at all times to assist the delegates with traveling, accommodations, meals, registration, language and cultural barriers.
- The 2nd WTWC is organized by IWUF for IWUF member nations only. All athletes from the U.S. must be registered by USAWKF.
TOUR ITINERARY:
Dates: October 11-21, 2006
Oct. 11: Depart from any U.S. City
Oct. 12-13: Arrive in Beijing on the 12th. Visit Tian An Men Square, The Forbidden City and historical sites of Beijing; Taste Peking duck dinner; Enjoy Acrobatic Show. Stay at a luxury hotel.
Oct. 14: Air to Zhengzhou City, Henan Province. Register with 2nd World Traditional Wushu Championships (WTWC) Organizing Committee. Stay in 3-Star hotel provided by the Organizing Committee.
Oct 15-19: Participation in 2nd WTWC as competitor or observer in Welcome Banquet, Opening Ceremony, Welcome Ceremony at the Shaolin Temple, Competitions, Thesis seminar.
Oct. 19: Competitions, Closing Ceremony.
Oct. 20: Return to Beijing by air, stay in luxury hotel. Last minute shopping at Wangfujing and Hongqiao market, free time.
Oct. 21: Return to US and arrive on the same day
FEE: $2495
Includes:
- Round trip airline transportation, U.S./Beijing and Beijing/U.S. based on economy class service
- All air and land transportation in China
- All meals in China
- Registration and administration fee, meals, and hotel accommodations for 2nd WTWC
- 4 or 5-star hotel in Beijing and comparable accommodations in outlying areas, except during stay in Zhengzhou, where a 3-star is provided by the Organizing Committee of the 2nd WTWC
- Cultural performances, sightseeing, entrance fees, special meetings, briefings, lectures and professional activities as outlined in the day by day itinerary
- A professional, bilingual tour guide will accompany the delegation during their entire time in mainland China
- Interpreters as required during scheduled activities
- All tips to porters and other hotel/restaurant server personnel for group services
- Delegation Journal
- 2 Official USAWKF T-Shirts and Team Jacket
Not included:
- Passport and Visa. Each person must apply in person for his/her own passport to a Passport Office or Clerk of the District, State or Federal Court. See below for visa information
- Individual and special service requests such as laundry and phone calls
- Overweight luggage
- Additional wushu training
VISA INFORMATION: All participants are responsible for obtaining their own visas, if you are applying via mail please allow at least 2 weeks prior to your departure date. Application form can be found at the Chinese Embassy's website:
